REMEMBERING T-BONE

June 29, 1995 - Oct. 21, 2002
Every now and then a bulldog comes along who is so special that just the mention of his name can evoke an image as powerful as any picture.  T-Bone was just such a dog, with his tough, Chicago, street-smart exterior and his wonderful bulldog heart of solid gold.

MY T-BONE

T-Bone stole my heart when I first saw him at three weeks.  His spotty-dotty back, there among his six brindle brothers and sisters, was irresistible.  At nine weeks we went to pick our puppy.  I sat on the pen floor, patted my lap, and asked, "Who's my puppy?"  He came right onto my lap and put his paws onto my chest as if to say, "I AM!", and that was IT!  Of course, Lambie bewitched Bob, so they both came home with us.

His puppy cuddliness never disappeared.  His favorite place was always on a lap.  He was a sweet, lovable, big ole bundle of love.

Good-bye, sweet Boneyboy.  You will be forever in our thoughts and in our hearts.

Here is a quotation which brings me comfort in times of loss.  Perhaps you will find comfort in it too.

"Life is eternal and love is immortal; and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight."
